I haven't blogged in a VERY long time. Life is hectic. And I just have a few moments here, while I'm in the church office.
Yesterday, we did prayer stations during our Wednesday evening service to help teach people how to pray, different ideas on how to pray and creative ways to communicate and express themselves to God.
Many ideas came from Pinterest. I have a prayer station board there.Prayer Station Ideas
Now, keep in mind, we are in a 1915 school building. So we may not have the best looking building, but we got chalkboards coming out of our ears.
Here are some of our stations we used. If you can't read them, I'd be happy to email you all the copies I still have. Some of these were printed and laminated last year, and I don't have them anymore.

This Emoji Prayer reminder was in the kid's church room, as well as a fidget spinner prayer, and a few others.
Our town is a big railroad town, so I placed this prayer with our community things.
We had a rest area set up with some Bibles and devotionals in a quiet room away from the others.
Forgiving Others: write a name of someone you need to forgive on your hand and wipe it off with a baby wipe, as an action of forgiveness. Stickers that had to do with prayer. (Kid's Room)
Floating prayers- found this on Pinterest with instructions. Write a prayer in the middle, fold the flower, and set it in the water. They "bloom" releasing our prayers to God.
Missions: We listed some of our missionaries, and included missions magazines. This was next to the map that you'll see further down.
Chapters of our Lives- (Pinterest) I found the station idea on pinterest and made a chapters page for them to write down, what do you think the chapters of your life would be titled and how have you seen God move throughout your life.
Prayer stickers for the adults. Kind of like the "I Voted" stickers, lol. Today, I prayed!
(Kids Room) We are all part of the puzzle. We had them write something on the backs of puzzle pieces to show how they are a piece of the puzzle that makes up the church.
(Kids Room) I didn't show the requests for privacy sake, but they could either draw or write their request.
(Kids Room) I actually just found a ginormous set of flannelgraphs that were brand new, back in the 80s maybe. lol. But the kids LOVE them. So we let them use them to tell Bible stories that they know.
We left a hammer and nails and said to think of Jesus looking into the eyes of those driving the nails and forgiving them. Then we encouraged them to put a (small finishing) nail into the cross and think of how He forgives them as well.
I made a rug for our prayer room that we will keep there. The middle is our church logo, which is hard to see in the picture.
Our community: I used the old built in shelves to put evangelistic tools/church invites and information about the town. (School names and numbers enrolled, # of people in the town, etc.)
This is the rest area with Bibles and devotionals in the quiet room. This was a great retreat away from the rest of the commotion of people doing stations.
(Kid's room) We gave them post it notes to post a note to God on His "Facebook".
One of my favorites. Write in the sand someone you need to forgive. Dollar Tree sand and bowl.
(Kids Room) What is God's love and joy like? Post pics from magazines onto the board that make them happy or make God happy.
Write what you are thankful for.
Prayer Wheel: from the book by Dick Eastman -An Hour that Changes the World
Praying 5 minutes for each will equal an hour of prayer. We did 1-3 minutes for timesake that night.
Prayer requests and Answered Prayers
Write down something great God has done for you recently and to be shared later with everyone. great faith builder!
Prayer circle to pray for those around you, your neighborhoods and community
Part of the missions area. Stick a tack in the place where our missionaries are serving, or where you would like to focus your prayers.
The throne room prayer chair. At any point in the night, if someone sat in this chair, we would all leave our stations to pray for them. One lady sat and yelled out, "I'm here! Ain't ya gonna come pray for me?" And of course, we did.
You're a beautiful masterpiece created by God. We painted small jars to remind us of how God made us as His masterpiece.
